Actor Rejects Anti-Vaccine Stance After Narrating Controversial Covid Documentary
The "Taken" star has lent his vocal talents to a recent film that challenges the safety of immunizations and commends ex- cabinet secretary the political figure.
The Film's Contentious Foundation
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is inspired by a bestselling book written by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the global outbreak for allegations that Covid was a result of a problematic version of the seasonal immunization.
Her co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with far-right media personality a known commentator. He took to social media hailing Neeson's involvement in the documentary.
An Unequivocal Statement
Representatives for the actor have released a comment pushing back against suggestions that he supports anti-vaccine views.
"Everyone can understand that unethical practices might be present within the drug industry, but that cannot be equated to opposition to vaccines," the comment reads. "Liam never has been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with Unicef underscores his consistent support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."
The response noted that the actor was not involved in crafting the film's narrative and that concerns about its claims are best addressed to the creators.
Key Assertions In the Film
In the film, the voiceover provided by Neeson includes several strong claims:
- It claims that pro-immunization voices have called for "complete compliance" to health authorities.
- It argues that "science has become deeply politicized."
- RFK Jr is interviewed saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
- The film further attacks Covid lockdowns, arguing they caused severe distress that cost thousands of lives.
- Regarding pandemic shots, it cites a report that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."
Historical Background and Current Disputes
It includes a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the subject of a formal apology by the network for violations of guidelines.
Recently, RFK Jr directed the Centers for Disease Control to revise its longstanding position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, despite a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation confirming no connection has been found.
An Earlier Statement of Endorsement
Differing from the film's tone, Neeson has formerly expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
Two years ago, he called vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," stating that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in human history."
The film concludes with Neeson's voice stating, "This marks not the finish of our journey. Rather, it is the dawn of a new chapter."
