A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet landed in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, including Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson said in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to Brussels when the incident occurred.

This incident isn't the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has encountered mechanical issues.
