FC Barcelona to Host Inaugural Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga 30 months after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch earlier this month. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
